Harpeth Capital, LLC served as exclusive financial advisor to WoodRidge Behavioral Care, LLC in connection with the sale of the Company to Perimeter Healthcare, a new behavioral healthcare holding company founded by industry executive Rod Laughlin and backed by Charlotte-based Ridgemont Equity Partners. WoodRidge will serve as the platform acquisition for Perimeter.
Formed in 2011 by Neil Campbell and Mike White and based in Madison, Tennessee (just north of Nashville), WoodRidge is a leading regional provider of a comprehensive array of treatment services for children, adolescents and geriatric patients with psychiatric, behavioral or emotional disorders, including several highly-regarded specialty programs. The Company operates multiple residential treatment facilities and acute care programs in Arkansas, Missouri and Tennessee, and is in the process of opening a new location later this year.
Over the last five years, WoodRidge has significantly increased its bed count, opened a new facility in West Memphis, Arkansas, and started three acute care programs for both adolescent and geriatric patients. “In starting WoodRidge, Mike and I wanted to focus on providing a high level of care in secondary communities,” said Neil Campbell, CEO of WoodRidge. “We take great pride in the help we have been able to provide to those in need and the growth we have achieved thanks to our over 400 employees. We want to thank Harpeth Capital for helping us navigate this process. They not only did a great job in finding the right partner, but their professionalism and expertise were invaluable in helping us achieve a successful transaction. We are confident that Rod and the Ridgemont team are the right stewards for the next phase of WoodRidge, and we are excited to remain minority shareholders.”
“The opportunity to work with founders and great operators like Neil and Mike is extremely rewarding for us,” said Chuck Byrge, Head of Investment Banking. “WoodRidge has a tremendous reputation in the region, and we were delighted to represent the Company in the sale to Perimeter.
